Automated Desktop Pools
Automateddesktoppoolscontainoneormoredynamicallygenerateddesktopsthat
areautomaticallycreatedandcustomizedbyViewManagerfromavCenterServer
virtualmachinetemplate.Desktoppoolsofthistypecanbeeither:
Persistent—Desktopsinthistypeofpoolareallocatedstaticallyinordertoensure
thatusersconnecttothesamesystemeachtimetheylogin.Desktopassignment
takesplacethefirsttimetheuserconnects.
Non‐persistent—Desktopsinthistypeofpoolareallocateddynamicallywhenthe
userlogsin,andarereturnedtothepoolwhentheuserdisconnects.
Automateddesktoppoolscanusethelinkedclonefeaturetorapidlydeploydesktops
fromasingle“ParentVM”.However,thissectiondescribesadeploymentthatdoes
not
